Novavax vaccine 51% effective against South African variant
Uma nova análise à eficácia da vacina anti Covid-19 da Novavax revela que esta proporciona proteção contra a variante B.1.351 do SARS-CoV-2, detetada inicialmente na África do Sul, de 51 por cento entre pessoas negativas para o VIH e de 43 por cento entre as positivas para o Vírus da Imunodeficiência Humana.
A new analysis of the effectiveness of the Novavax anti-Covid-19 vaccine reveals that it provides protection against variant B.1.351 of SARS-CoV-2, initially detected in South Africa, of 51 percent among HIV-negative people and of 43 percent positive for the Human Immunodeficiency Virus.
