חה"כ מהליכוד מסר הצהרה מיוחד, במהלכה הודיע על פרישתו מהמפלגה: "התייסרתי תקופה ארוכה עם ההחלטה שהיה עליי לקבל אך הליכוד שינה את פניו מהותית"
