מתחקיר ראשוני עלה כי הירי מן הטנק נבע מאי הבנה בין המפקדים ברשת הקשר. תחקיר האירוע טרם הסתיים. הבוקר העריכו בצה"ל שהאירוע נבע מ"חתירה יתרה למגע"
Preliminary investigation revealed that the shooting from the tank was due to a misunderstanding between the commanders in the communications network. The investigation into the incident has not yet been completed. This morning, the IDF estimated that the incident was due to "excessive striving for contact."
מדובר צה"ל נמסר הערב (ראשון) כי אמש בוצע ירי טנק בשוגג, כתוצאה מאי הבנה בין המפקדים ברשת הקשר. ל"מעריב" נודע כי הלוחמים עלו עם טנקים לעמדת הירי ואחד מהם, קצין המשמש כמפקד הטנק, ירה פגז לעבר עמדה לא מאוישת של חמאס, ללא אישור.
The IDF spokesman said tonight (Sunday) that a tank fire was accidentally fired last night, as a result of a misunderstanding between the commanders in the communications network of Hamas, without permission.
