Stormy weekend: flooding across the country, first snow fell on Mount Hermon

הגשמים העזים שירדו גרמו להצפות רבות במרכז ובצפון. תנועת כלי הרכב בשדרות רוקח בת"א נחסמה בשל הצפות, מסלולי טיול נסגרו למטיילים, שלג ירד בפסגת החרמון

The heavy rains that fell caused many floods in the center and north. Vehicle traffic on Rokach Boulevard in Tel Aviv was blocked due to flooding, hiking trails were closed to hikers, snow fell on the summit of Mount Hermon

מזג האוויר הסוער והגשמים העזים שירדו הלילה והבוקר (שבת) ברחבי הארץ גרמו להצפות רבות, בעיקר באזור מישור החוף. המשטרה חסמה  את תנועת כלי הרכב בשדרות רוקח בתל אביב בשל הצפות בשני כיווני הכביש. שוטרים נמצאים במקום ומכווינים את הנהגים לדרכים חלופיות. בעקבות ההצפות מזרימה המשטרה את תנועת כלי הרכב בעיר מהרחובות הרברט סמואל- אלנבי לצירים חלופיים. בנוסף הודיעה המשטרה כי רחוב מצדה בבני ברק נחסם לתנועת כלי רכב משני הצדדים בשל בור שנפער בכביש. בתוך כך דווח כי לפנות בוקר ירד שלג ראשון לעונה במצפה שלגים, פסגה באתר החרמון שאינה פתוחה למבקרים. באתר עצמו לא ירד שלג.

Following the floods, police are driving vehicle traffic in the city from Herbert Samuel-Allenby streets to alternate routes. In addition, the police announced that Masada Street in Bnei Brak was blocked for vehicular traffic on both sides due to a pit that opened in the road. Meanwhile, it was reported that in the morning, the first snow of the season fell at Mitzpe Shelegim, a summit at the Hermon site that is not open to visitors. There was no snow on the site itself.
