WHO meldet Rekord an neuen Corona-Infektionen

Am Freitag sind so viele Neuinfektionen wie noch nie an einem Tag seit Ausbruch der Coronakrise registriert worden. Die meisten in den USA und Brasilien, aber auch in Deutschland steigen die Zahlen wieder.

WHO reports record of new corona infections

Noch nie seit Beginn der Coronavirus-Pandemie sind der Weltgesundheitsorganisation (WHO) innerhalb von 24 Stunden so viele Neuinfektionen gemeldet worden wie am Freitag. Insgesamt waren es 284.196 Fälle, teilte die WHO am Abend mit. Die Zahl der Toten sei um 9753 gestiegen, so viele wie seit dem 30. April nicht mehr.

Mit Abstand die meisten Infektionen verzeichneten die USA und Brasilien, jeweils mehr als 67.000. In Indien waren es fast 50.000, in Südafrika 13.000.

Never before since the onset of the coronavirus pandemic have the World Health Organization (WHO) reported as many new infections within 24 hours as on Friday. מסוקי קרב של צה"ל תקפו הלילה (בין שישי לשבת) מטרות של צבא סוריה בדרום סוריה בתגובה לירי שבוצע מוקדם יותר לעבר רמת הגולן. במסגרת התקיפה הותקפו מספר מטרות הכוללות עמדות תצפית ואמצעי איסוף מודיעין הנמצאים במוצבים סורים.

قال مسؤول في وزارة الخارجية الأميركية أمس إن بلاده وروسيا ستجريان الأسبوع المقبل أول محادثات بشأن أمن الفضاء منذ عام 2013، لكن موسكو رفضت انتقادات أميركية وبريطانية لأنشطتها في الفضاء عقب اختبارها سلاحا مضادا للأقمار الصناعية، في حين أعلنت فرنسا رسميا أن الفضاء أصبح ميدانا إستراتيجيا لنشاط قواتها المسلحة.

وقال كريستوفر فورد مساعد وزير الخارجية الأميركي للأمن الدولي للصحفيين -في مؤتمر عبر الهاتف- إن أحد الموضوعات المحتملة للمحادثات الأميركية الروسية، التي ستعقد في العاصمة النمساوية فيينا، قد يكون توضيح "أن الفضاء الخارجي ليس منطقة بلا قانون، أو قواعد حاكمة".
